Hidden Voices IV Exhibition April 2026

In April we held our Hidden Voices IV exhibition in Queen Street Gallery, Neath. This was the latest collaboration between artist Paul Steer and myself.  We have spent the last year and a half exploring our connection with the post-industrial landscapes and seascapes of south Wales. These places, once abandoned, are often thriving ecosystems where the voices of the land mingle with those of past and present communities.

Films

Eleanor is a documentary film producer and director and has worked with many organisation and individuals. She works in collaboration with other film makers, writers and artists.

Hidden Voices IV Performance, Performer and Director
Performance of the Sentinel Masks as part of the Hidden Voices IV exhibition with Paul Steer in April 2026. The masks are made with found objects from the locations that inspired them. I return to perform and film letting the landscape and the mask dictate their movement.

Llangiwg Church, Director & Producer
Set high above Pontardawe in the Swansea Valley, South Wales, Llangiwg Church has been a place of sanctuary and sacredness for centuries. This short film shows the beauty and heritage of this special place. Drone camera footage by Chris Britten (RewiredLife). Commissioned by The Llangiwg Trust who are currently caring for the building.

Promoting the launch of the new bold Management Plan that puts the environment, nature, people and place at its heart and re-branding the National Park Authority. Film by Chris Britten, script by Owen Sheers co-Producer Jody Bond.

Voices of the Stones, Director, Producer & Project Manager
For over 3,000 years ancient standing stones have been watching over us from the mountains of South Powys. What things they have seen, what stories they could tell. A year long multi media project that involved pupils from primary and secondary schools and community members who learned storyelling, filming, photography and animation to bring these stories to life. Storytelling by Owen Staton, Animation and Soundscapes by David Marchant Supported by Glasu/Powys County Council.

The Horse; his industry, our industry (INTRO), Director & Producer
Final MA Documentary on the role of the working horse in South Wales. With emotive interviews with local people who worked with the horse on the land, in the communities and down the mines, this film asks, ‘Where would we be today without the horse?’ In English and Welsh with subtitles.

Art & Photography

Using inspiration from nature and our relationship with place to draw out the seen and unseen. 
Eleanor is currently working on the next exhibition in the Hidden Voices series with fellow artist Paul Steer. This is due to open in Queen Street Gallery, Neath in September 2025.
